Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account: When you create an account we collect your name, email, and any optional profile details you provide (such as phone number, location, and farm or business name). We also record the date you agreed to our Terms of Service and which version you agreed to.

Listings: When you create a listing, we collect the listing details, photos, location and ZIP code, and the contact methods you choose to share.

Messages: When you message another user through the site, we store those messages so both of you can see the conversation.

Site usage: To count visits, your browser stores a random anonymous ID and we record which pages are viewed. We do not record your IP address with these visits or use advertising trackers. A ZIP code you type into the distance filter is used only to show nearby listings and is not saved to your account.

2. How we use it

We use your information to operate the marketplace: to publish reviewed listings, to show listings by distance, to let logged-in buyers contact sellers, to moderate content, to understand overall site traffic, and to communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information.

3. What other people can see

Listings, including their photos, location, and ZIP-based distance, are public. Seller contact details are only shown to logged-in users — not to anonymous visitors. You control which contact methods (phone and/or email) appear on your listings. Messages are visible only to the buyer and seller in that conversation, and to administrators when needed to investigate a report or misuse.

4. Emails we send

We email you about your account, about new messages, and — if you leave the setting on — when new listings are posted. Every new-listing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can turn these off anytime in your account settings.

5. Service providers

We use trusted third-party providers to run the site, including hosting, database, authentication, and email delivery. If online payments are added in the future, payment information would be handled by a third-party payment processor (such as Stripe) and not stored unnecessarily by GetFarmLinked.

6. Your choices

You can edit your profile, edit or remove your listings, turn off new-listing emails, and request account deletion by contacting us.
